Welcome to the Royal Pride! You have chosen to be a member of the largest and most visible organization at McKinney High School. The band has a longstanding tradition of excellence and we are happy to have you joining our band family! 

 

In this organization, you will meet lots of people, travel to new places, and have lots of fun! You will be challenged musically and physically! We work very hard, making band a rewarding experience as an individual, and as a part of our proud organization. Your directors will work diligently to help you grow to be the best you can be. 

 

Transitioning to high school can be a difficult time but as a member of the Royal Pride, you instantly have a huge support group. Our upper classmen know the ropes, have taken your classes, and can help you as you get to know your new surroundings! Don’t hesitate to ask them for guidance.

 

Parents, we are excited to welcome you to our band family as well. Our parents are a huge part of our program. They volunteer countless hours in support of our students and without them, we could not function. We want you to be involved! Visit our “Boosters” page and see the many ways you can help and have an inside view of your student’s band life.
